This charming home has the finest amenities, including a natural rock waterfall that empties into the heated swimming pool which has a shallow area for children, and 6-person infinity edged Jacuzzi. There are two Villas (the Main Villa and the Guest House) that are connected with the pool and patio, for a total of 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The 3 bedroom/3 bathroom Main Villa, which includes the 1BR Penthouse, has its own private entrance and private terraces overlooking the ocean. There is also the 4BR Guest House with a private gated entrance and several private terraces. The 4BR guest house has 3 levels. The bottom level has the 1BR ground floor condo. The middle level has 2 bedrooms, and the top level has the 1BR Palapa Penthouse.
The Pescadero Palace villas can be rented together for larger groups, accommodating up to 18 people. It is perfect for family reunions, wedding groups, and gatherings. It can also be divided for smaller groups, with each party having its privacy, including private kitchen, bathroom, terrace, and gated entrance. It is also the home of the legendary Hotel California, made famous by the song from the 70’s rock group, The Eagles, although the song was not specifically written for that hotel or any other hotel.
Todos Santos was originally a mission called Misión Santa Rosa de las Palmas, which was founded in the year 1723 by Padre Jaime Bravo. It later became a thriving sugar cane capital in the 1800’s, which is evident from the ruins of eight sugar cane mills in the area. The town did swell to a population of over 10,000 before being nearly abandoned in the 1900’s. Today it is a thriving pueblo, and is the 2nd largest town in its municipality, next only to La Paz, which is the capital city of the state of Baja California Sur. The census of 2010 showed Todos Santos with a rapidly growing population of 5,148 people. The town has a large ex-pat population, consisting mainly of artists, surfers, and farmers.
Todos Santos and the surrounding area, including El Pescadero, has shown steady economic growth, and has proved to be a solid investment in recent years. Now, with a new 4-lane highway connecting our town to La Paz and Los Cabos, access to this once hidden oasis has never been easier. El Pescadero and Los Cerritos, both on the outskirts of the city, are surfing beaches with world class waves.
